unawards update: shortlist announced tuesday at 11.59pm

We thought the unawards would throw up some good stuff. We just didn't guess just how much good stuff.

If we were American we would be saying right now that the lovely wonderful comms2point0 community are 'awesome.'

We may also be busy high fiving people and 'whooping' very loudly.

But then again the three of us have drunk an awful lot of coffee since the deadline to the comms2pint0 unawards passed on November 12.

Let's just say we were taken aback at the entries. There was the small total of 202 landing into our inboxes. That's 202. TWO HUNDRED AND TWO. We've spent around 50 hours reading, logging, grading and shortlisting.

Disclaimer: if we've ever been paid by you we've not looked at your award.

The original plan was to announce the shortlist at 11.59pm on Monday November 17.

We'll now be announcing the shortlist and ticketing exactly 24-hours later at 11.59pm on Tuesday November 17. We will also send out an email to our mailing list.

We've actually been staggered by the quality and quantity. From government departments to large multinationals, local government, NHS, police and fire through to housing, HE, third sector, private sector and agencies, we've been wowed by submissions. And reading about the great things you are doing has been well pretty darn inspiring.

We've seen national and international entries wing their ways to us literally from Dundee to Denmark and Romania to Romford. It's probably safe to say you may have created the most popular industry comms awards in the UK. So a big thank you to you all - you've given us quite a glow.

Thanks also to our lovely sponsors who are sponsoring our award categories.

There is just one final chance now to get involved and be our Overall sponsor but be quick...

Dan Slee and Darren Caveney are co-founders of comms2point0 and Emma Rodgers is strategic communications and marketing manager at Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
