Communications specialist – pensions

We’re looking for a communications professional with a specialist knowledge of pensions. This important and interesting role will require you to:
Lead on the communications, both internally and externally, during the implementation of the Berkshire Pension pooling arrangement.
Provide advice and guidance to elected members, senior leadership team and officers on the most appropriate communications activities to engage with stakeholders of the Berkshire Pension pooling arrangement.
Ensure that an action plan is delivered on the communication for the pensions pooling work and that all stakeholders are fully engaged with it.
Ensure all communication and marketing activities adhere to the council’s communications plan.
Be responsible for social media activity and digital communications specifically for the Berkshire Pension pooling arrangement.
Develop innovative and creative solutions which support the communication and engagement requirements for the council which will promote the Berkshire Pension pooling arrangement.
Establish and develop positive professional relationships with the media – locally, regionally and nationally – to ensure they are aware of the Berkshire Pension pooling arrangement.
Work with colleagues in the communications and marketing team to ensure all objectives are completed.
