We are looking for a Digital Content Editor to support the development of the council’s corporate website and to plan, create, edit and publish easily accessible and engaging content.
As Digital Content Editor you will also work with communications representatives from across different service areas to actively review and manage all web content to ensure it is accurate, relevant and up to date, including auditing and updating content as necessary. You will also produce and analyse web statistics to inform the council’s communication monitoring and evaluation activities, plus support the head of communications in publishing news items on the intranet.
The successful candidate must also be able to work within an agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads and goals in order to assist with the provision.
To succeed as Digital Content Editor:
You will be educated to GCSE standard and have previous experience of using a web content management system (i.e. Squiz, WordPress), plus UX and customer journey mapping. An outstanding communicator with excellent writing and editing skills, including an understanding of the special requirements of writing for the web, you will also have an in-depth demonstrable working knowledge of Google Analytics, Site Improve and HTML. Strong organisation, prioritisation and time-management skills are also vital.
