Based in the Corporate Communications department, Service Headquarters, Garstang Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 3LH.
We’re looking for a talented communications officer to engage with Lancashire’s diverse communities and our dedicated workforce.
You’ll contribute to a comprehensive communications service and will lead on staff engagement, developing effective internal communication channels, consulting with employees and supporting organisational change.
You’ll have experience in developing, delivering and evaluating communications activity, employee engagement and media liaison.
With excellent writing and digital skills, you’ll know how to tailor your message to different audiences and which channels to use to reach them.
You will be expected to form excellent working relationships across the organisation and have a ‘can do’ attitude to help improve staff engagement.
Managing deadlines and multiple priorities won’t faze you and you’ll thrive in the demanding environment of emergency incidents.

This role is a permanent, full time position based at Service Headquarters in Fulwood. It is a requirement of the post to participate in the on-call communications rota which provides a 24/7 media relations service, external communications and on-site press officer function in the event of incidents that meet certain criteria.
The closing date is 1200 noon, 3 January 2018 with the interviews being held on 25 January 2018.
