Salary: £41,967- £47,650
Full Time, 37 per week

Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils have an ambitious transformation agenda internally by means of a cultural change programme and externally through the transformation of public access and service delivery to enable service users to self-serve and use digital channels.
To support this ambition, the councils need a proactive, efficient and effective communications manager who has the proven ability to deliver strategic direction in all aspects of our communications voice.
You will have broad and in-depth experience of all communications channels and you will work closely with the leaders of the councils, Senior Leadership Team and Corporate Managers internally and key partners externally.
This critical role will spearhead the team’s professional advice on appropriate activity to protect and enhance the reputation of Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils and deliver on supporting the key areas within the Joint Strategic Plan.
You will possess:
a proven record of accomplishment of successfully developing and championing a successful brand and its application across all channels, external and internal to secure the reputation of the organisation
high levels of influencing and negotiation skills to support leaders of the councils, the cabinets, Chief Executive and other members of the Senior Leadership Team in the execution of their roles
excellent people skills to manage a team to develop appropriate campaigns that are measurable in terms of impact and use this intelligence to continually improve the communications and marketing services and inform other services in the organisation.
