Fixed term contract: 9 months
Closing date: 8 November 2018
NHS Bath and North East Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (BaNES CCG) is looking for a talented Communications Manager to cover maternity leave for a minimum of nine months. We are very keen to invest in and develop the right individual, ensuring their time with us is interesting and rewarding.
You’ll be joining the CCG at a pivotal time for the organisation as we take steps to strengthen our partnership with Bath and North East Somerset Council and work more closely with our neighbouring CCGs in Swindon and Wiltshire. It is also an exciting and challenging time to work in healthcare communications as we continue our ambitious programme of change to improve the health and wellbeing of local people, drive up the quality of care and ensure local services are cost-effective.
We are a small, friendly and motivated communications and engagement team that is committed to being flexible and responsive to the needs of the CCG and to championing the public voice at every level.
As our Communications Manager your remit will be very varied and includes leading on our organisation’s digital communications, managing our internal communications, devising and implementing communication and campaign strategies and dealing with media enquiries.
You’ll need to be confident working with colleagues at all levels of the CCG and with partner organisations across B&NES, Swindon and Wiltshire to inform and involve local people in shaping and managing our health services and enhance local and national campaigns and other communications activities.
Our ideal candidate will be digitally savvy, possess excellent writing and editing skills and be able to create interesting and inspiring content for our varied audiences, online, offline and face-to-face.
