Salary: Up to £31,071 pa

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer to join our busy team as we launch our multi-million investment programme.
Based in Braintree, Essex, this is a new role which will deliver marketing and communications for investments into new healthcare facilities, housing developments, road improvements and business premises.
This role presents an opportunity to take on an exciting, challenging and absolutely crucial position in our organisation at what couldn’t be a more important time in local government. The ideal candidate must be ambitious, enthusiastic, and enjoy a challenge.
We are looking for someone who can turn complex technical material into sharp, clear and compelling messages and be able to demonstrate the following:
Excellent commercial awareness
Experience of producing a range of engaging and informative marketing materials
Experience in brand development and positioning
Experience of managing campaigns
Project management skills
Experience in commissioning website design
Excellent writing ability
Ability to produce comprehensive communication plans
Experience of working with designers to give sound briefs that ensure cost effective and timely production of documents
Editorial experience and ability to create news and features
Firm grasp of grammar and attention to detail
Be highly organised and have the ability to multi-task a range of projects
Our ideal candidate will have a wide breadth of communications experience and is likely to have been working in a commercial environment.
