Marketing Communications Officer (6 months Fixed Term Contract)
General Medical Council
Salary: £23,999 to £32,031 with an exceptional maximum of £36,175
Closing date: 9 December 2018 (midnight)
Bring your marketing creativity to this varied and fast-paced role to challenge our thinking and make a difference to doctors across the UK.
The General Medical Council (GMC) helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors. We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards, and take action when they are not met.
If you have a track record in using audience insight to devise marketing communications that deliver results, and are available to start as soon possible, we want to hear from you. This is an exciting role in a dynamic, regulated environment requiring excellent communication, content and co-ordination skills, as well as creativity and innovation.
You need to be a great team player and have a ‘can do’ attitude to support our design and publications projects and help deliver a better user experience in line with our digital transformation strategy.
You’ll champion our tone of voice by supporting and training our staff to write with the user in mind and create engaging and accessible user-centred content for all channels. If you’re great at telling stories on social media and video, we need those skills too.
In return, you’ll benefit from being part of an organisation that is genuinely committed to its people. This role can be a great stepping stone into a rewarding career path. We also offer an attractive salary and benefits package, and may be able to offer flexible working hours and home working.
The GMC values diversity and has made a public commitment to processes and procedures that are fair, objective, transparent and free from discrimination. The GMC is a charity registered in England and Wales (1089278) and Scotland (SC037750).
Interviews and Assessments will take place on Tuesday 18th December 2018
