We’re North Mid.
You may have heard of us. But you should probably check you’ve not been mind-tricked into forming an out-of-date opinion about who we are and what we do.
Our A&E performance is improving, even against a backdrop of increasing demand: for the first time in nearly three years, more than seven out of 10 patients would recommend our A&E to their friends and family. (FFT, June 2018)
We’re winning awards left, right and centre: for bereavement midwifery, nursing leadership, community sickle cell care, and urgent and emergency care. Yes, urgent and emergency care.
We’re strengthening our leadership and resilience across clinical and operational roles, and we’re tapping into the talent of our 3,200-strong workforce to improve how we care for patients and look after our staff.
This is where you come in.
You’ll share some traits with C-3PO, including fluency in over 6 million forms of communication and an insistence on supremely high standards, but where you’ll really shine is in championing and engaging colleagues at all levels in getting involved in our improvement programmes.
Specifically, we want someone with the creativity, charisma and clout to take the lead on communication and engagement of our Listening into Action workstream, and other change programmes.
You’ll have a knack for getting busy people to pay attention to what you’re talking about, and sufficient nous to know when to play the long game. You’ll also have a ‘can do’ approach to finding solutions, the ability to work at pace without sacrificing quality, and continually demonstrate the integrity and values that our patients and staff deserve.
Above all, you’ll be committed to helping us improve. We can’t promise there won’t be struggles, but you will be part of an awesome team, and your work definitely be a force for good.
So grab your light sabre and come on board.
