Salary: £39,463 - £44,232 pa

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the UK’s world-leading government body established to make sure competition works in consumers’ favour and businesses treat their customers fairly. With continued changes to how businesses operate and how people search for and buy goods and services, and the markets and the UK’s exit from the EU, the CMA is embarking on a significant phase of transformation and expansion, including relocating our London based headquarters in 2019.
As part of our London office relocation there is an established project in place: The Big Move. The CMA’s Internal Communications team are now seeking a Senior Communications Officer to proactively contribute to delivering the communications workstream of this project. The key focus is on ensuring that CMA staff are regularly informed about relocation progress, have the opportunity to help shape the new working environment and also have a clear understanding of their own contributions required before and after the move.
This role will work closely with people across the CMA, to plan and deliver a range of employee engagement and change management activities, principally through delivering internal communications - with a focus on establishing and enhancing an effective organisational culture in the new working environment. The role will also provide support, challenge and clarification to managers across the organisation to ensure they are confident in delivering the project’s key messages and to overall strengthen the internal communications cascade.
To be successful, it is essential that candidates can demonstrate considerable experience in internal communications as part of a significant organisational change programme. Complementing this, you will be able to demonstrate first-class writing skills alongside knowledge and experience of using an array of effective communication tools, techniques and channels to successfully reach key audiences. Highly organised with the ability build, foster and influence stakeholder relationships with colleagues at varying levels, in order to deliver results, will round off your profile.
