Are you someone who is passionate about helping the Council to communicate with its employees, helping to keep them informed and engaged?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced internal communications specialist who can work as part of a busy team to help us deliver the Council’s communications strategy.
The role will cover a range of internal communications disciplines from channel management and senior manager messaging, to event organisation and acting as work stream lead for communications on change project teams.
You will have experience of advising senior leaders on internal communications, developing and delivering internal communications strategies and plans, and leading on communications for change programmes.
You will understand the impact that change has on individuals and how effective communication can support people through change. In addition, you will have excellent writing skills, a strong background in developing and/or managing a range of internal communications channels and the ability to evaluate effectively, using what you learn to improve your approach.
We expect you to be qualified and experienced in communications and, ideally, in internal and change communications.
