Closing Date: 25 March 2019
A new exciting role has been introduced at Stoke-on-Trent City Council to support a graduate looking for their first working position in communications and marketing.
A city on the up, Stoke-on-Trent is one of the fastest growing economies outside of London. And with a combination of education improvements, innovative housing schemes and big business investment which have seen Stoke-on-Trent consistently out-perform many parts of the UK over the past 18 months, there's never been a more exciting time to join the team.
Our new recruit will make a real difference in all that they do and have the support of the senior leadership team to help them do it. Their work will have a firm focus on driving through exciting and innovative behaviour and perception change campaigns as well as learning a range of new skills across a number of communication and marketing disciplines. They will also be asked to help the function deliver challenging income targets by providing services across the city.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence, listen to and work with a range of audiences including our staff, residents, and a range of other community partners and national stakeholders. They will work in an integrated way across a number of initiatives where high levels of industry standard practice, research and evaluation are second nature for this award-winning function.
You will be joining a hardworking and friendly team where new ideas are embraced and team members are clear every day about what they are expected to deliver and where they fit in. It will be a challenging and fast-paced environment and we'll want you to be resourceful, autonomous and resilient, but you'll be supported throughout.
