post of the month for january

Pinch, punch, the first of the month. It's that time of the calendar where we take a look at what has been the most popular post.

Well, what an opening to 2014 it has been with a blizzard of new content on comms2point0 and an impressive two-way fight for the top spot.

In a tussle that brings back memories of Blur v Oasis, Ali v Foreman and Stoke City v Port Vale the top title has seen an epic battle between Hel Reynolds and Eddie Coates-Madden.

Helen, Monmouthshire County Council's digital and social media manager, wrote an excellent post on the mistakes we all make with Twitter in May last year and followed it up with another at the tail end of January. In just four days she almost claimed the top spot but Eddie Coates-Madden's post on the communications credit matrix was just strong enough to hold on.

This month, we have not just the silver cup but we have a copy of 'The Age of Context: Mobile, Sensors, Data and the Future of Privacy' by Robert Scoble and Shel Israel. Thanks to Andrew from the CIPR for this.

Here is the top five

1st Eddie Coates-Madden's the comms team credit matrix... or the damned if you do or damned if you don't theorem.

2nd Helen Reynolds' Seven more Twitter mistakes we all make.

3rd Helen Reynolds' Seven Twitter mistakes we all make.

4th Carry on Camping a take on the UK Govcamp in London from last year by Darren Caveney.

5th An app to bring police and communities closer together by Amanda Coleman.
