We believe effective communication is key to strengthening our links with local people, service users, partner organisations and staff. We now need a qualified and experienced professional to help us with that. The successful candidate will join a team of six staff and will work on a range of high-quality internal and external campaigns for Oxford city’s 158,000 residents and about 700 staff. You will be organised and methodical with the ability to make effective decisions.
You will have exceptional written skills and a creative flair and will be able to employ a range of traditional, social and digital communications methods. You will also understand how offline and online marketing can be brought together to deliver key messages and campaigns. With excellent written and spoken English, you will gain great satisfaction from producing exceptional work and achieving results.
Oxford City Council prides itself on delivering high quality, cost effective public services. Oxford is a world class city and the Council has high aspirations for its services and employees. We are a multi-award winning Council and in May 2017 we were re-accredited at Gold level for Champion IiP status. Our other awards include the Institute of Revenues Rating & Valuation (IRRV) ‘Excellence in Innovation (General)’ winners 2017, Oxfordshire Environment Partnership (OEP) ‘Best Food Waste Reduction and Collection System’, and several ‘Team of the Year’ national and regional awards across our Service Areas. This builds on our previous success in achieving ‘Council of the Year’ in 2015.
