10 month contract, 28 hours a week
Salary: £21,117.29 - £23,086.37, Grade 8

Wakefield Council is looking for talented and enthusiastic digital communications officer to join our communications team for a fixed term of 10 months.
If you have experience of developing positive customer journeys , have a keen eye for content writing, are able to drive digital and content expertise to drive excellence and enable a digital first approach to customers’ digital experience then we are looking for you.
You will be taking a lead in developing Wakefield Council’s MyAccount helping to drive a digital first approach to customers’ digital experience. Taking an innovative approach to informing and engaging our residents and making sure they are part of the journey the Council is on.
Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, the post require special knowledge and understanding of:
· Ability to improve and develop new systems, processes, procedures to meet changing needs and support continuous improvement
· Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to lead and facilitate workshops and the ability to communicate ideas, issues, systems and procedures successfully at all levels to a variety of audiences.
· Significant experience of project management in a complex public, private or voluntary sector environment.
· Practical experience of implementing editorial specific projects
