We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Communications Manager to join our team at Camden Council. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of campaigns focused on the priorities of the council. We are looking for a creative and innovative professional to bring their experience and enthusiasm to Camden, and to add value to our communications that align to Camden 2025 and Our Camden Plan.
As well as your oversight of our campaigns, and you will provide strategic communications advice at senior level in the council. You will be creative and really understand what makes a powerful campaign that uses our evidence base and channel strategy to achieve clear aims and objectives, and you will prioritise evaluation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced, strategic and innovative communications professional, with the ability to shape campaigns and manage a talented team.
As well as your strong knowledge and understanding of strategic communications, you will be a creative, motivated individual with a proven track record delivering results. You will have experience managing a team and leading towards the achievement of strategic objectives. You will have first class writing skills and a significant understanding of audiences and channels. You will have a degree level qualification or equivalent work experience.
The right individual will have experience managing people and leading a team. Experience of providing strategic advice at senior level is required to succeed in this role. You will also have experience managing budgets and assigning resources to projects.
