Digital Communications Officer
Salary: £27,905 to £30,507, Grade 8,

Wakefield Council is looking for talented and enthusiastic digital communications officer to join our communications team.
If you have experience to drive digital and content expertise to drive excellence and enable a digital first approach to customers’ digital experience then we are looking for you.
The role will help with the day-to-day running of the council’s website, social media channels, intranet and implementation of new digital tools. You will also be required to produce other materials for publication, such as e-newsletters, image design, video creation and live streaming.
Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, the post requires special knowledge and understanding of:
Ability to improve and develop new systems, processes, procedures to meet changing needs and support continuous improvement
Ability to understand the digital environment and how different content works across multiple channels and audiences.
Significant experience of project management in a complex public, private or voluntary sector environment.
Practical experience of translating complex requirements into a straightforward brief and ensuring you meet the highest standards in your work.
