We're gearing up for a broad-reaching change journey that will enable us to deliver new, agile ways of working, and shape services to respond to our changing customer needs. To get to where we want to be, we need to bring our people with us; we want to help our colleagues understand the drivers for change, what's changing, and how the changes will benefit our citizens, colleagues and stakeholders. These are exciting times for us. Can you help us tell that story?
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled communications professional to work in one of the East Midlands' busiest Communications departments, leading on and developing key internal comms projects including the development of our exciting Digital Workforce campaign.
Working with an already established internal comms suite, applicants should be confident in planning and delivering long-term campaigns and creating engaging and tailored content that will help to ensure that our DCC colleagues feel inspired and informed; driving engagement and behaviours aligned to our values.
An energetic, resourceful and self-motivated communicator, with good knowledge and experience of a broad range of print and digital channels, the post-holder will possess exceptional written skills, a creative flair, and a willingness to work outside core office hours.
You will work with senior leaders to compile weekly and monthly bulletins, as well as organising internal workshops and conferences, so should be a true 'people' person, with the ability to build great relationships at all levels within the organisation.
To learn more and apply, please visit our website or call Kara MacFadyen (Senior Communications Officer) for an informal chat on 01332 640236.
Please be aware that where there are staff within the organisation who are 'at risk' of redundancy, requirements to redeploy to another suitable role will apply and take priority
The closing date for applications is Sunday 21st July at midnight. Any application forms received after the closing date will not be accepted.
