We’re looking for a talented communications professional to champion the district, engage with our residents and lead on the communications for a range of regeneration projects.
It’s an exciting time at Winchester City Council as we progress with regeneration projects designed to enhance our city, making it a vibrant place for future generations to live, work and visit.
As a regeneration communications manager, you will play a key role in enhancing the reputation of the council and helping to tell the story of our regeneration projects to internal and external audiences alike, ensuring they are effectively engaged through excellent communication. You will develop and deliver proactive and reactive multi-channel communications strategies and campaigns that strengthen the identity and reputation of the council’s regeneration work.
You will be working with programme managers and development partners as well as senior staff members and councillors. You will need to be politically astute and have a keen eye for news with the confidence to work with partners, senior officers and councillors. You may have a background in PR or public affairs and will have excellent media relations, copywriting, editing, campaigning and communications skills.
You will be managed by the Service lead for Communications within the talented and friendly communications team, whilst also working closely with the Director for Regeneration and programme leads.
