How is it that some people have the knack of consistently delivering great creative work? What’s their secret and what can we learn to give our own creative work an inspirational boost?
Creativity Lab is where we’ll go underneath the bonnet to explore, dissect and learn from those in and around the comms industry delivering creative work we’re inspired by. We’ll take a look at who delivers creatively inspiring work and invite them into the Lab to talk about their work. We have some brilliant people lined up to join us in the Lab.
We’ll seek inspiration from across the sectors. We’ll have themed episodes too. There is learning to be found everywhere. And we’ll also look further afield to those pushing the boundaries of creativity to see what we can learn and apply to our work.
THE SECOND LAB…
First up are the creative double act and brains behind the multi award-winning One Black Bear, Jon Harrison and Rich Elwell. I’ve known Jon and Rich for 20 years now - they’re two of the most creative people I know, and they have a wall full of industry awards to prove it. One Black Bear are Birmingham’s largest independent agency.
Next up we have UnAward-winning Kathy Kyle of Digi Kind. Kathy is leading the way of the High Street recovery comms and marketing in several UK towns right now including the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Kathy won best agency at the 2019 UnAwards.
And lasty I can announce the talented director at Alive with Ideas, and Comms Unplugged favourite, Alan Oram. Alan and the team set out to “create great work with great people”. And they have certainly done that.
I’ve been lucky enough to work with all three agencies and have learned from all of them. I’ve always believed that we comms people can take inspiration, lessons and tips from creative agencies. But many public sector comms teams now don’t have the budgets and opportunities to do this.
So Creativity Lab 2 gives us al; the opportunity for some invaluable free learning.
