HOW TO NAIL TIKTOK – A brand new masterclass for comms pros
comms2point0 has teamed up with top UK TikTok marketing agency, Nonsensical, to create a brand new workshop that will take you through every element of mastering TikTok and taking your social to the next level.
TikTok has grown massively over the past two years and now offers organisations a new platform to engage and tell compelling stories on. With 23 million active users in the UK and 44% of users over the age of 25, the time when TikTok was considered a place for silly dances is now a thing of the past.
But how do you use it? How do you create standout content? And how do you engage new audiences?
Many comms pros and teams I have spoken to recently have said they feel like this is an area they need to develop and learn how to use the platform. So, this brand new workshop is aimed at you and any other teams using or thinking of using TikTok in their mainstream comms and marketing strategy and activities.
What will the workshop include?

A guide to the main features of the app
How to create TikToks
Over to you – A chance to play and create your own TikTok videos
A review and appraisal of your videos
The lowdown on the equipment required to make creating content easy
Q&As and chat throughout the day to ensure you leave armed with a head full of ideas and your skills and confidence enhanced.
Where is it taking place?
The workshop will take place at the lovely Studio in Birmingham, just a 3-4 minute walk from New Street Train Station. You’ll love the lunch and snacks served up all day long, plus the limitless teas and coffee and fresh afternoon cookies.
When is it?
9 June 2022, with the workshop running from 10am – 4pm.

Oli is the CEO of Nonsensical who create strategies for organisations to cut through on TikTok and produce content perfect for the channel and the community they want to engage.

Darren Caveney, creator and owner of comms2point0 and Creative Communicators Ltd
Darren is creator and owner of comms2point0 and specialist consultancy Creative Communicators Ltd. His 26 years in communications includes 10 years as a head of comms in local government and two years as a director of comms in the NHS. He has delivered in-house training and consultancy for over 100 organisations and has spoken at over 150 events in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He is an associate with the Local Government Association, is a mentor to many UK communicators. He also runs the unique UnAwards, is a co-organiser of Comms Unplugged and co-hosts the Talking Comms Podcast.
Darren has delivered social media training directly to over 60 organisations and thousands of comms pros have attended his workshops and events.
