The next Orlo Digital Engagement Masterclass heads north to Manchester on 26 February. It’s a free to attend event full of new case studies and fresh learning.

by Gemma Scorey

The third edition of the Digital Engagement Masterclass will take place. A learning event created specifically for public sector comms professionals, some of the best in the industry will spend the afternoon sharing their customer engagement and comms strategies, success stories and best practices.

If you’re already on the guest list, you’re in for a great afternoon, and if not there are still some spaces left! So, what can you expect from the event (aside from free beers and bubbly after 6 pm)?

The speakers

We’ll be kicking off with a presentation from Rebecca Roberts, Founder at Thread & Fable and ex-director of marketing at Keele University. Rebecca will be sharing insight on how to “Engage Youth in 2020”.

Next up Transport for Greater Manchester’s Helena Hornby, Communications Officer, and Anna Pickard, Social Media Manager, will be telling us all about “Building engagement through organic social media”.

Together Housing’s Ross Ironfield, Digital and Social Media Officer, is talking about “Creating engaging video content for social media using a smartphone”.

Last but not least we have Natalie Banks, Digital Communications Team Leader & Andrea Sturgess, Head of Communications from Blackburn with Darwen Council. They’ll be speaking about their “Collaboration with Adidas - Something Spezial”

We’re rounding the day up with a panel Q & A, so have a think about what questions you’d like to ask our wonderful presenters.

The practicalities

The event will take place on the afternoon of the 26th of February, with registration beginning at 1:30 pm. Presentations will be running from 2:30 pm to 6 pm, and from 6 we’ll be cracking open the beer and popping the bubbly to give you time for networking over a couple of drinks.

The event venue is the cosy and relaxed Ziferblat on Oxford Road, Manchester, M1 7EE - just a 5 min walk from Manchester Oxford Road station. There is parking near to the venue too, at the nearby Manchester Aquatics Centre NCP Car Park.

Dress code is… whatever you feel comfortable in! Whether you usually turn up to work suited and booted or in jeans and a tee, you’ll be welcome whatever you’re wearing.

If you’d like to hear case studies from our inspiring speakers, sign up now by clicking here. (But be quick, spaces are limited!)
