Digital engagement – what’s hot, what’s not, benchmarking and resources, and who is getting the best engagement and how? Take part in this large new research piece to see how you stack up against others in your sector
by Jen Morris
It’s fair to say that with the upheaval of the last 12 months digital channels have come into their own and the power of social media has been harnessed like never before to keep the nation connected! Research shows that user numbers increased by more than 13%, taking the global user total to almost 4.2 billion at the start of 2021.
We've seen organisations overhaul processes, adapt at speed and even execute their digital transformation strategies overnight to ensure effective digital communication.
Those dealing with citizens on the frontline have arguably been affected by these challenges more than most and while recent developments promise that elusive light at the end of the tunnel they bring with them another set of adjustments to get used to. As budgets continue to be cut, so too are time and resources to plan, manage and deliver effective public services, but the pressure to do so is greater than ever.
With digital channels the preferred contact method for many citizens, the number of inbound interactions is on the rise too. Add to that the vast amount of ever-changing information that needs to be shared with the general public and it’s clear that public sector bodies have more than a lot on their plates when it comes to managing the digital citizen experience.
So, before we begin adapting to the ‘newest normal’ the team at Orlo has decided to join forces with Microsoft and comms2point0 to take a moment to reflect, understand the impact the pandemic has had and explore what 2021 holds when it comes to Digital Engagement in the Public Sector with our ‘State of the Nation’ Survey.
The only one of its kind in the industry, this benchmark report will explore everything from team size to budget, channel preference to the latest innovations. And will seek to understand key challenges and priorities across the sector from local and central government, healthcare and education to blue lights and beyond.
Taking part is simple, the survey should take no longer than five minutes to complete and all responses are anonymous.
Results will be published on the Orlo and comms2point0 website at the end of this month, allowing you to benchmark your approach against your peers and understand the state of the nation.
