Do you thrive on building campaigns that don’t just look good, but deliver real-world results?

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

You’ll be:

  • Designing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns that drive behaviour change and deliver measurable outcomes

  • Working with everyone from frontline teams to senior officers and politicians to get results

  • Creating compelling content across channels – from social media and web to print materials and video – to reach, engage and influence diverse audiences

  • Tracking performance, evaluating impact and continuously improve what we do

The Person

We’re looking for a proven marketeer to join Brent Council’s communications team and lead bold, integrated campaigns that make a difference to people’s lives.

The successful candidate will put outcomes first, and have bags of experience of turning insight and data into creative ideas that cut through, using behavioural science.

You’ll also be:

  • Excited to grow your skills in a role that blends strategy, creativity and delivery

  • Always on the look-out for new ways you can add value

  • A team-player who can bring people together, persuade and lead project teams with credibility to bring campaigns to life

  • Happy to get hands-on with a camera and basic editing software

  • Confident in providing clear, sound communications advice

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

Life at Brent is fast-paced and exciting. We’re a supportive, collaborative team that values fresh thinking and gives team members the freedom to experiment, learn and innovate.

Why join us?

We know people achieve their best when they feel valued. At Brent, you’ll benefit from:

  • Excellent pension with generous employer contributions (LGPS)

  • Hybrid and flexible working options available for most roles
