Are you a media professional with sharp news sense, excellent political awareness, and a passion for shaping stories that matter?
We are looking for a Media Manager to join one of our high-performing communications teams. You will be someone who is ready to protect and enhance our client’s reputation, drive high-quality media engagement, and help us communicate clearly with the communities we and they serve.
About the role
As our new Media Manager, you will play a central role in:
Leading proactive and reactive media handling
Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, stakeholders and partners
Supporting delivery of high-profile campaigns and narrative-driven communications
Advising senior officers and elected members on sensitive or complex issues
Developing engaging content across traditional and digital channels
Helping strengthen our digital presence and expand the reach of our messaging
You will be part of a supportive, fast-paced team working across local, regional and national issues with plenty of space to grow, innovate, and make an impact.
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong experience in press/media roles, ideally in a political, public sector or high-profile environment
Understands how to navigate sensitive or high-risk issues with confidence and good judgment
Is politically savvy, who keeps up-to-date with the latest policy developments
Can work calmly under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
Builds effective relationships and communicates with clarity and impact
Brings creativity, resilience, and ambition to everything they do
Is able to work in fast-paced environment juggling multiple deadlines
Can build trust and confidence at the highest levels, working with senior elected representatives and officers
